6/6/2019 0 Comments Final Exam1. The art critique process is, describe the artwork and what you see, analyze the artwork and list the elements, interpret the artwork and what is being showed, judge the artwork and if it's successful.
My favorite media was the linocut one. It was more of a craft project which I prefer. One that I wanted to use was paper mache because it seems cool.

6/5/2019 0 Comments Final ProjectThe pros of this piece is that it's entirely me. It is made purely reflecting me and I like that about it. The cons are that they didn't turn out the way I expected it to and that it took a lot longer than I thought. Process: I printed out song lyrics that mean something to me and cut out each individual lyric. I then glued them all on the folder.
6/4/2019 0 Comments Art SHowThese are the pieces we made for the art show. It was great because it held together and didn't fall apart. However, there was no definite way to attach it to me and it was pretty heavy. The wings we got premade by someone else and we painted them. The scepter was made by painting a mop, super gluing a light up ball to it and adding the painted metal thing.
5/17/2019 0 Comments Portrait pieceMY PORTRAIT PIECE IS MISSING HENCE THE LACK OF PHOTO. I'LL UPLOAD IT AS SOON AS I FIND IT. I did a portrait of me. My relation to the person is that she is me!! I drew it in anime/manga style. I did what Ms. Sudkamp told me to do. Jkjk, I first drew a generic anime character and then tweaked it to look (kinda) like me. I made it prettier though. I thought it looked cute so it was successful. If I did it again I would add a cool background.
5/17/2019 0 Comments Portrait warm-upSOME OF MY WORK IS MISSING BECAUSE I WASN'T IN SCHOOL THAT DAY.
I think the face proportion is the most helpful until now because it helps me decide how to do the piece and where to put what. It gives me a point for where to put the features. I didn't realise how close all the features are and how small the eyes are. 5/17/2019 0 Comments Multi-medium pieceI used 4-5 different mediums and styles for my piece. I first tore up pieces of black and red tissue. I then painted it wit glue to hold it down. Then I printed out a picture of a fist and stuck it on top. After that I took a plexiglass and smashed it with a hammer and glues that on top. There was paint splattered on the plexiglass which counted as my fifth layer.
My word was anger and I portrayed it by depicting a fist punching and cracking a glass. 5/15/2019 0 Comments Linocut printmakingMy piece is a line drawing pineapple. It's kinda self-explanatory xD. My piece is successful to me because you can clearly see what it is and the lines are cleanly done. If I had to do it again I might try do use multiple colors in my print.
5/15/2019 0 Comments Finished clay pieceThis is my finished clay piece. Since my in-progress piece I have finished the glaze painting and added glass to the top. It was then fired. I find that the lid of my piece fits in the box the most successful part especially since I didn't know how much it was going to shrink. If I had to do it all again I probably would have made it neater and added more glass.
3/27/2019 0 Comments In-Progress Clay PieceI plan to finish my piece by painting it purple, blue, and black. I plan to use it as storage, I’m not sure for what yet though. I found the detail work really hard so far. I had to be careful so that I didn’t take too much clay off. I found that my piece resembles what I wanted it to look like. I find that super successful. I started out by rolling out my hard slab pieces and cut them to the size I wanted them. Then I scored and slipped the sides and stuck them together. After that, I did the detail work on them. Once I was done with that I put the greenware in the kiln room to get it fired. When the bisque pieces came out, I painted them. |
Enjoy the blog!! I had fun making and posting in it.
